Dominic Villeneuve (BOG)

1.What is your name, what position are you running for, and could you please sum up your platform in one sentence?
My name is Dominic Villeneuve, I am running for BoG to instill it with more transparency, "francophonie" and intellectual freedom.

2.Name one thing the University of Ottawa administration is doing right.
Bilingual services, if only the government of Canada could do as well. This is a great place to learn and practice both our official languages. It makes us unique.

3.What is the largest problem on campus?
Facilities, I mean buildings. Each department seems to have its own standard. Some buildings are not even accessible. OK, Desmarais is pretty nice, but try a class in Séraphin-Marion and you will see the difference.

4.What can you bring to the SFUO/BOA/BOG that no other candidate can (aka why should someone vote for you)?
I am a student in a public administration program looking forward to put the skills I am learning in the classroom into effect for the university community. I also have management experience and I know how to make a budget work. There are specific BoG issues that I really want to fix and as they say in Galaxy Quest, I "Never give up! 5.And to steal a question from my co-op workbook: if you came back from a meeting and there was an elephant in your office, what would you do?
Call my butcher, wow free elephant meat for a year! No more booooooring chartwells food! (OK Maybe too French for my English comrades) I should say: Call the zoo foundation and tell them I want to make a big donation!

(There are two interesting things about his answers. 1) is that he has a butcher, which is rare in this day and age. and 2) that he quoted galaxy quest to quote Churchill. -Ed.)
