1.What is your name, what position are you running for, and could you please sum up your platform in one sentence?
Jeremy Stuart, running for VP University Affairs. Platform in one sentence? Working to fix the problems of regular students and working to offer events that offer an education and experience beyond the textbook while making an honest and genuine effort to talk to students.
2.Name one thing the University of Ottawa administration is doing right.
I think Allan Rock is making a very sincere effort to talk to students and bridge the gap between students and administration to understand our concerns and I've been really impressed by him, as I think most students have.
3.What is the largest problem on campus?
I've been a student here for four years now, and I think the biggest problem is all the little problems. I keep saying it, but things like the internet not working, finding a place to sit and work that isn't crowded or loud, and making entrance scholarships easier to keep. If these little things could be fixed it would make the university experience here a lot better.
4.What can you bring to the SFUO/BOA/BOG that no other candidate can (aka why should someone vote for you)?
I'll admit that I haven't been working in and around the SFUO for years, and some may see that as a weakness, but I think that most of the student politicians on campus forget what its like to take five classes and work a part time job. I'm really honest about the things I want because as a student I find the SFUO distant and disappointing, and after four years of disappointment I want the SFUO to be something students can be proud of.
5.And to steal a question from my co-op workbook: if you came back from a meeting and there was an elephant in your office, what would you do?
Ask the elephant how it got in without the key.
