1.What is your name, what position are you running for, and could you please sum up your platform in one sentence?
Robert Prazeres, Candidate for the Board of Administration - Arts Faculty.
I believe the SFUO must readjust its priorities so as to take into account the views of the general student population and to make communication with students a fundamental part of its strategy.
2. Name one thing the University of Ottawa administration is doing right.
The university did its utmost to take responsibility for the mass transportation of students during the transit strike, and that is something encouraging in a time of crisis.
3.What is the largest problem on campus?
Student space; it has become commonplace to see students sitting on the ground in hallways because there is no room to sit elsewhere. With the population of campus increasing every year, this problem is only going to get worse.
4.What can you bring to the SFUO/BOA/BOG that no other candidate can (aka why should someone vote for you)?
I am bringing, to borrow the most appropriate cliché, a new voice. My aim is to make sure the SFUO does not go off track by endorsing positions or undertaking campaigns that clearly do not represent the views of most students.
5.And to steal a question from my co-op workbook: if you came back from a meeting and there was an elephant in your office, what would you do?
I would offer it a job as my secretary; and subsequently exploit it for tax purposes.
