VP Student Affairs

Michèle has opened by speaking of all her experience on the SAFA. She wants to focus on clubs and student space. She also wants to make sure students at RGN are able to access resources that are available on main campus. She says she loves UofO even though she knows it's not perfect, she wants to make other people love the school as well.

Do you think most of the UofO students use the services?
She thinks that most students don't, and many students don't even know that they exist. She doesn't really mention how she would get more students to use them.

Audience question
what experience do you currently have with UofO services?
-Admits she doesn't have any experience with SFUO services but that she does have experience with other groups which she feels she could bring to the table.

There was a question in French about bilingualism? UESA? that I didn't quite catch but Michèle seemed caught a little off guard and a little perturbed.

You had a visible role in the CFS how will that affect your relations with them?
She says that we're members now and we need to move on. Make CFS work for us, there's no point waiting around for a referendum to try and quit. States her position was her opinion and that now she hasn't folded on her opinion but that she is able to get over that to get some work done.

How to keep individuality of services while maintaining values of organization/integrity?
States that interview process would be key for this role, making sure the applicant understands what the role is.

Questions about how to distribute resources and funding to clubs?
She says she would rather see rewarding clubs that work hardest on campus. She admits that the free for all idea is relevant since all clubs should be able to have access. Wants to explore club structures at other universities.
